Welcome to LegalEase – Study Law with Ease (“LegalEase”, “we”, “us”, “our”). LegalEase is an AI-powered educational tool designed to assist law students, legal professionals, and other users (“you”, “your”) with studying, reviewing, and engaging with legal materials in an interactive and gamified environment.

By accessing or using LegalEase (including our website, mobile applications, and related services), you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”). Please read them carefully before using the platform.

1. Purpose of the Platform

LegalEase is an AI generative study tool. It is designed to assist users by generating study aids, quizzes, flashcards, and related learning content based on materials uploaded or provided by the user.

All content generated through LegalEase is for educational and informational purposes only. LegalEase does not provide legal advice, interpretation, or opinion. You should always exercise your own professional judgment and consult original legal sources or qualified legal professionals where appropriate.

We make no warranties as to the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content.

2. User Responsibilities

You agree to use LegalEase only for lawful and educational purposes. You must not use the platform in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.

You agree not to:

  • Upload or share any content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
  • Use the app for unlawful, misleading, or harmful purposes.
  • Post or transmit any disrespectful, hateful, harassing, defamatory, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate material.
  • Attempt to interfere with the operation, security, or performance of the platform.

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently remove access to any user who violates these Terms or engages in behavior that undermines the safety or integrity of the platform.

3. User-Generated Content and Intellectual Property

When you upload or provide content (including documents, case law, notes, or text) to LegalEase, you:

  • Warrant that you have the necessary rights, licenses, or permissions to use and upload such content; and
  • Acknowledge that you remain the owner of your intellectual property, but grant LegalEase a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, analyze, and use that content solely for the purpose of providing the app’s services (e.g., generating quizzes, flashcards, and related outputs).

You are solely responsible for any content you upload and for ensuring that such use does not infringe on the rights of any third party.

LegalEase shall not be held liable for any unauthorized or improper use of third-party intellectual property by users.

4. AI-Generated Content

All study materials, quizzes, games, and flashcards generated by the app are automatically produced using AI models based on the information you provide. While we strive for accuracy, the content:

  • May not reflect current legal standards, case law, or interpretations;
  • Should not be relied upon for academic submissions, legal practice, or decision-making; and
  • Must be independently verified by you as part of your own study process.

You acknowledge that LegalEase cannot guarantee the factual accuracy or completeness of any generated content.

5. Subscriptions, Payments, and Refunds

LegalEase offers both monthly and yearly subscription plans, as well as limited free trials. By subscribing, you authorize LegalEase to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

  • The yearly subscription is non-refundable.
  • You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time before your next billing date to avoid further charges.
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period.
  • LegalEase does not issue prorated refunds for partially used billing cycles.

All payments are processed securely through PayPal or another authorized payment processor.

6. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, you must notify us immediately.

LegalEase is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your login information.

7. Termination of Access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to LegalEase, with or without notice, if:

  • You breach these Terms;
  • Your conduct is harmful to the platform or other users; or
  • We are required to do so by law or regulatory obligation.

Upon termination, your right to use the platform will immediately cease. We may retain necessary information as required by applicable law or for legitimate business purposes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • LegalEase and its affiliates, partners, or licensors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the platform.
  • You agree that your use of LegalEase is at your own discretion and risk.

We do not guarantee that the platform will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless LegalEase, its developers, affiliates, and partners from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:

  • Your use of the platform;
  • Your uploaded content;
  • Your violation of these Terms; or
  • Your infringement of any third-party rights.

10. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our separate Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

11. Governing Law
